its all gonna break

Wed May 23, 2007, 10:56 PM
my camera is broken, its been broken since my trip to Petersburg, AK in mid-April.

damn southeast Alaska.

so i am camera-less, but i AM now living in Healy AK outside of Denali National Park.

i work for a wildlife photographer here, in this touristy studio thing where we dress them up like eskimos and take pictures of them. oh yea.

im paying a measly $75 a month to live in a brand new cabin with electricity and no running water, but its the life i was looking for. I absolutely love it.

my cabinmates are from telluride in colorado and they are as cool as can be.

my bosses are reallly rad too. life is great.

i love alaska, but i hate not having a camera. at least i still get to "use" a Canon 5D everyday at work. i can get my trigger finger fix.

expect no art for a while, sorry!

So I must ask.
I've been going through a bunch of your photos again and looking at the photo details, and noticed you tend to use slow shutter speeds, but they're really clear. Like no camera shake at all.
Also, you like to use 100 ISO, even in low-lighted situations, and they look spectacular.
How do you do it???

Oh dear god what a tangled web we weave...
:iconpolaroids-polarbears:
i used to have that awesome 50 mm f/1.8 lens so that must have been it. it allows you to use faster shutter speeds cus it lets more light in. yea i rarely take it off 100 ISO, i think i just really like that its the least grainy. and i also think i forget sometimes haha. but i have no more camera, and it is SUCKING HUGE BALLS. how is summer?
